Fair Play and Integrity in eMotorsport Championship
Hello eMotorsport Championship and Forza Communities,
It is with a heavy heart that we address you today, as we have recently discovered a disheartening incident that has deeply impacted the spirit of fair competition in our beloved community. Yesterday, we were made aware of a regrettable act of cheating that occurred within the Porsche Carrera Cup series, tarnishing the principles we hold dear in both esports and racing.
Through the vigilance and dedication of the incredible individuals within the Forza community, we were alerted to the actions of an individual who compromised the integrity of our championship. We are immensely grateful to those who brought this matter to our attention, and we commend their unwavering commitment to upholding the values of honesty and sportsmanship.
The evidence presented was irrefutable, as the individual responsible shared a video revealing their ill-advised actions and their negative impact on the honest racers within our community. We want to assure you that swift and decisive action has been taken. The individual in question has been banned from participating in eMotorsport events for life and will be placed on a blacklist, not only within our organization but also by other esteemed esports and racing organizations.
Additionally, in order to rectify the unjust advantage gained through cheating, the individual will be disqualified from all Porsche Carrera Cup events. Furthermore, to ensure fair competition and maintain the integrity of our championships, all drivers who were ranked below the disqualified individual in the results and standings will have their positions boosted up accordingly.
We are relieved to share that this incident was exposed before the season's conclusion. Therefore, the disqualified individual had not and will not finish the season, and they are not eligible for any of the prizes from the Porsche Carrera Cup, which had a prize pool of $250 and trophies.
We understand that the individual may have been influenced by the trend of content creators exposing cheating within the esports and gaming world. While we acknowledge the intention behind their actions, it does not excuse the harm caused to our community. Cheating, in any form, undermines the core values we hold dear and negatively impacts the experiences of honest participants.
We want to express our deepest sympathies to our racers affected by this. We understand the frustration and disappointment it may have caused. Rest assured that we are taking steps and will do our best to prevent such incidents from happening in the future, including enhancing our monitoring systems and implementing stricter regulations.
In times like these, we must come together as a community to reaffirm our shared values. We urge all participants to continue embodying the spirit of fair play, respect, and camaraderie that define our championship. Let us support one another and demonstrate the true essence of eMotorsport as we move forward, united in our passion for racing.
We remain committed to fostering a competitive, inclusive, and ethical environment, where every racer can thrive and find joy in the exhilarating world of esports racing.
Thank you for your unwavering support and understanding during this time.
Sincerely,
Dustin Hughes (eMC Hank)
